ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER:
Peter Ogilvie retired in late 2011 from the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service after forty-six years involvement in the management and administration of national parks, World Heritage Areas and wildlife in Queensland.
Since retiring, Peter has been busier than when he worked in full-time employment! As well as the position of State President of WPSQ, Peter is on the council of NPAQ, three animal ethics committees (Qld Uni, CSIRO and Aust Army), three endangered species recovery groups (Bridled Nail-tailed wallaby, northern hairy-nosed wombat and Proserpine rock wallaby), one World Heritage advisory committee, plus active roles in local groups such as Rural Environment Planning Association, Moggill Creek Catchment Group, Neighbourhood Watch and Chairman of the Brookfield Rural Fire Brigade.
We look forward to welcoming Peter to the Toowoomba Branch.
